Based on 325 reviewsCandy's Fried Chicken in East Saint Paul is consistently praised for its juicy, flavorful chicken with well-seasoned breading that appeals to both locals and visitors alike. Customers appreciate the quality of the food, highlighting not only the chicken but also the sides such as salads, fries, rolls, and notably the gravy. The restaurant maintains a clean and organized environment with friendly, personable staff that contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. While primarily favored for takeout and meal delivery, limited dine-in options exist. Some feedback points to minor inconveniences such as parking challenges for larger vehicles and a cash-only payment policy, but these are generally outweighed by the overall positive dining experience and the strong community reputation Candy’s has built over time.
For years Candy's has been mine and my family's favourite place for fried chicken. From the juicy chicken to the salads, fries, dinner rolls and gravy. Ooooo the gravy! Everything is always delicious here and customer service is wonderful.
Candy's chicken was awesome! Recommended by the North Kildonan neighborhood group on facebook, then I gave it a try, their chicken was juicy, and the breading and spice were really good. I remember the town where I grew up. There's a chicken fast food here in peg where in some of the chicken, you can still see blood inside of the chicken, unlike in Candy's it has been cooked very well.
Always delicious chicken, I try to pick some up every time I'm in the area and I live an hour away. The staff are friendly, food is quick to come out and it looks clean or organized. There are some chairs and I think a table or two for eating in but take out is probably your best bet. Parking lot is somewhat a disaster for bigger vehicles but that's something easy to deal with for such good food. Can't wait to come back, the men on the field sure loved it last time!
Great chicken place! Not sure if you could dine-in, we ordered take away. Doesn't accept credit card though.
Honestly this place is awesome. This was my first time trying their food and it was amazing. Crispy and yet somehow juicy, amazing chicken. Now on to the service staff, lemme tell ya, this woman was hilarious. Made me laugh and smile the whole time I was there, and that small town atmosphere you don’t find these days. Great place, highly recommend
Good price for a couple of pieces of fired chicken. However, it’s not my cup of tea, I found it a little salty for my taste. But if you haven’t had Candy’s, give them a try, you might like their food.
